Bellanca 8KCAB Decathlon

Learning tailwheel and aerobatic flying in a Decathlon takes you beyond simply controlling an airplane and teaches you to truly understand what it is doing.

Tailwheel training develops precise rudder control, coordination, energy management, and disciplined takeoffs and landings, while aerobatic training builds an entirely new level of aircraft awareness and confidence. In the Decathlon, you’ll experience the aircraft across a much broader portion of its flight envelope, learning how control inputs, attitude, airspeed, and energy work together. The result is more than an endorsement or the thrill of aerobatics. It’s about developing better stick-and-rudder skills, sharper judgment, greater confidence, and becoming a more capable aviator.

RATES

Aircraft rental rates are currently:

  • $185 per hour wet

  • $165 per hour, wet with the purchase of a 20-hour block

Instructor rates are:

  • $70 per hour

A 0.3 Hobbs briefing and debriefing charge is added to instructional flights to account for preflight briefing, post-flight debriefing, lesson review, and training documentation time.

Aircraft and instructor scheduling are coordinated directly with your instructor to ensure consistency and continuity throughout training.
